You’ve found your way to some of the most important documents we’ve ever written. Insurance is a tricky little thing and we try to make it as simple and easy for you as possible, but the law says we have to give you all the specific details of it in a Product Disclosure Statement (or PDS for short). You’ll soon find out they tell you everything about what’s covered, and what’s not, under Essentials by AAI’s car or contents insurance policies.
Product Disclosure Statement
An important legal document that contains the terms and conditions of your cover, including what is and isn’t covered and any limits that apply.
Update pursuant to ASIC Corporations Instrument 2016/1055
This is to be read in conjunction with your current PDS & SPDS
Key Facts Sheet
Offers a shorter version of what is and isn’t covered, without being a complete statement of your Contents Insurance cover. Read it together with the PDS and your certificate of insurance.
Premiums, Excesses, Discounts & Claim Payments Guide
Explains how we calculate premiums, the excesses that apply, any discounts and how we pay claims.
Financial Hardship Form
Need help paying us?
If you owe us money and you are experiencing financial hardship, you can ask us to assess whether we can give you assistance (this does not apply to payment of premiums under your policy). To access our financial hardship processes please contact us. We will ask you to complete this form detailing your financial situation. This allows us to make an assessment of your situation and enables us to identify the best possible solution.
You can email this form to firstname.lastname@example.org. On receipt, one of our staff will put on hold any debt collection activity and will assess your circumstances.
